The Name
Sans and nik. Without pain.
SANSNiKTM is derived from sans (without) and nik (pain). Say it SAWNZ-nik (/ˈsɔːnz.nɪk/), like the plural of “sawn,” plus nik like the end of sonic.
Founded in 2024 and built over two years of intensive research and prototyping in Sarasota, Florida, SANSNiKTM was born from a singular rule: nothing you use every day should be a pain to use. That founding principle is the company, not just the first bar.
Design Philosophy
Design begins where the hand meets the object.
Too many everyday products are engineered around manufacturing margins, retail shelf space, or how they look in a studio photograph. The end user is rarely the starting point, yet you are the one who has to live with those compromises every single day.
So we flipped the order. We begin with the physical experience and work backward. Whenever we evaluate an everyday object, we ask three questions:
- Does this object force the human body to adapt to it?
- Where is the unnecessary friction in this daily ritual?
- How can we engineer a kinder physical reality?
The Road Ahead
Cleansing is just the start.
The Contour BarTM is the first object built under that brief. We began with a cleansing bar because soap is the most universal product in personal care, and it was in desperate need of modernization.
Our goal is to reimagine personal care as a whole, focusing relentlessly on removing the pain points and points of friction from every daily ritual. But cleansing is just the start.
We look forward to reimagining other categories, including shampoo, conditioner, skin care, and more. By developing unique bar-form solutions for each, we aim to provide a simpler, more compact, and design-forward alternative to the existing fleet of plastic bottles, pumps, and jars currently littering American bathroom counters and shower shelves.

Founder & CEO
Luke brings more than two decades in structural product design, chemical formulation, and physical consumer-goods manufacturing, from juvenile products and the crowdfunded Alva lamp to twelve years running a national CPG company end to end.
After exiting that business in 2024, he spent two years researching and commercializing The Contour BarTM. That work is the start of SANSNiKTM, not the end of it.
