Formulation & footprint
Environmental commitments
Contour is built to feel good in the hand and leave less behind — biodegradable structure, thoughtful packaging, and DTC so we don’t overproduce for shelves we don’t control.
These are pledges with status — what’s already how we work, and what we’re still improving. No green theater.
How we talk about footprint
Feel and footprint aren’t separate projects
Texture First asks Contour to bend, lather, and last. Environmental commitments ask the same bar to leave rinse water without microplastics — and ask the brand to sell in a way that doesn’t manufacture for empty shelves.
We’d rather list fewer, clearer pledges than decorate Contour with vague eco language. Below: four commitments, each with a status so you know what’s practice today and what’s still in motion.

The pledges
Four commitments we stand behind
- 01In practice
Biodegradable Contour structure
Contour Bars use plant-based surfactants and a biodegradable structure — no microplastics. They are cleansing bars made for skin and rinse water, not everlasting plastic form.
That choice is Texture First and footprint at once: the bar has to flex and age well in your shower, and it has to leave the rinse story cleaner than plastic-filled alternatives.
- 02In practice
Direct-to-you, not speculative shelves
Selling DTC means we make what people order — not speculative wholesale inventory that sits, ships twice, and often ends as waste.
Fewer middle miles. Clearer demand signal. A shorter path from Contour leaving our hands to Contour meeting yours.
- 03Ongoing
Packaging that protects without pretending
We prioritize materials that protect the bar in transit while staying aligned with Texture First — clear labeling, honest claims, and continuous improvement as better supply options expand.
We’ll keep refining wraps and inserts as materials improve. We won’t claim perfection where the industry is still catching up.
- 04Ongoing
Honest claims, continuous improvement
Environmental language on SANSNiK stays tied to decisions we can point to: Contour’s structure, how we sell, how we ship, and what we’re still improving.
If a claim isn’t ready, we won’t print it. If a better option appears for packaging or logistics, we’ll move toward it and say so.

In the bar
Plant-based surfactants, glycerin, natural binding fibers, optional essential oils — and a biodegradable structure with no microplastics. Materials are chosen for feel and for what they leave behind. See the full map on Our ingredients.
Our ingredients
In how we sell
Exclusively DTC means Contour isn’t padded for wholesale guesswork. You order; we fulfill. Feedback returns to the people building the next density — not a reseller aisle that never touches the shower.
Why we stay directA note on honesty
We’ll keep improving — and we’ll say when we have
Packaging and logistics will keep evolving. Contour’s biodegradable structure and DTC model are already how we work. When something gets better — a wrap, a carrier, a supply choice — we’ll update this page instead of pretending we arrived finished.
