Product resources

How the bar lives after the first wash. It lasts, it stands on its own, and it does not ask for a dish.

Stand it up. Let the air do the rest.

After the first wash

A simple bath, kept simple

Four motions, then you are done. These notes are for the weeks after that: dry air, no dish, and a bar that still feels like the one you opened.

01

It stays a bar

The Contour Bar is meant to last through the washes, not shrink into a sliver or a puddle.

Expect it to stay flexible as it wears. F5 gives in the hand, wet or dry, warm or cold, and then it comes back. That is what keeps the wash feeling like the first one.

What you should not see is a bar that collapses overnight. If it sits in standing water, let it dry in the air. Trapped moisture is what softens a bar, not the formula giving up.

02

No dish required

Stand it up. Leave air around it. A soap dish is what makes the scum and the puddle.

The bar does not need a dish between showers. Stand it where water can leave the surface and the room can dry it. A sealed cup or a puddled dish works against that.

When it is wet, let it sit. When it is dry, it is ready again. Nothing extra to buy, and nothing left ringing the sink.

03

Travel

Let the bar dry, then pack it. A dry bar travels better than a wet one in a sealed pouch.

After the last wash at home, give it time in the air, then pack it in something that will not hold a puddle against the surface.

On the road, stand it up again when you can. If it spends a night closed up, open the case when you arrive so it can dry.

04

The same four motions

Wet it, let it follow the hand, rinse, and stand it up. That is the whole routine.

Do not leave it under the stream between uses. Wet, wash, rinse, then stand it up. Holding it in running water only wears it faster.

Scent does not change the feel. Smooth and With Grit are still the same flexible bar. If something seems off, check whether it has been sitting wet before you assume the bar changed.

Quick checks

If something feels off

Most of the time the bar has been sitting wet. Run through these before you decide something is wrong with it.

It feels softer than usual
It has been sitting wet. Stand it in the air and let the surface dry. Softening while you wash is normal. Staying wet overnight is not.
The lather feels thin
Work it between your palms a little longer before you wash. Cold water and a short lather are what mute the foam.
I am packing tomorrow
Wash tonight, let the bar dry in the air, and pack it in the morning. A dry bar beats a sealed wet pouch.
When do I replace it?
When the bar has worn thin and the wash no longer feels like enough. Most routines get many washes before that. Then pick up another from the shop.
