How does the STROPPi work?
The STROPPi is an innovative solid shaving lubricant that works by applying a layer of protective lubricant to your razor's wet blades, effectively safeguarding your skin from irritation and ensuring a consistently smooth and nick-free shaving experience.
Application of lubricant to your razor is achieved by a simple process of stropping. Simply strop your razor's blades down the surface of the STROPPi several times, making sure to wet both your blade and bar before stropping. Remember to mount the STROPPi before attempting to strop it. Mounting straightens the bar's surface and ensures even lubrication. Attempting to hold the bar in hand or failing to properly mount the bar may lead to injury or inconsistent lubrication.
How is the STROPPi different from traditional shaving lubricants?
Traditional shaving lubricants are applied to the skin. This limits their ability to work well with modern, cartridge style razors as the blades are unable to make consistent contact with applied shaving cream due to the design of the razor head.
Rather than the blade making contact with the applied shaving cream as you shave, the edge of the razor head pushes cream away from the blades, leading to a drier and less protective shave. In many instances, this can promote razor burn and skin irritation. The STROPPi avoids this by applying lubricant directly to the blades ensuring consistent lubrication. Where can I use the STROPPi?
The STROPPi is designed to be used in your shower.
Using the STROPPi in the shower allows you to have easy access to water as you shave, allowing you to wet the bar's surface, the blades of your razor, and the surface of your skin for a smooth glide and softened hair for greater shaving comfort. The steam of your shower also softens the STROPPi's surface, allowing the bar's surface to break up smoothly as you strop it with your razor, ensuring consistent and rich lubrication. In the shower, be sure to select a smooth and non-porous surface such as tile, smooth stone, composite, plastic, or glass to mount the STROPPi.
Where should I mount the STROPPi for best results?
For best results, we recommend mounting the STROPPi in an easy-to-reach area close to where you shave most often. If you shave facial hair, position the bar at head height to make re-stropping between passes simple and efficient. For shaving legs, underarms, or the bikini area, mount it lower for comfortable access, especially if you shave while seated.
For the most secure mounting and longest bar life, choose a smooth, uninterrupted, and non-porous surface such as large, polished tile, untextured plastic or composite, or smooth, preferably polished stone. Avoid textured, uneven, or porous areas, as they may compromise adhesion. Be sure the bar is completely dry before mounting and only moderately wetted during use; placing it in a spot with minimal direct shower spray helps prevent waterlogging, which can cause the bar to swell, soften, and become unstuck. By mounting the STROPPi close to your shaving area, on the right surface, and out of constant water flow, you’ll ensure a secure hold, extend the bar’s lifespan, and maintain peak stropping performance.
What materials does the STROPPi stick to?
The STROPPi is designed to easily mount to any smooth, non-porous surface in your bathroom. This includes smooth tile, polished stone, plastic or composite, and glass.
Always be sure both the bar and the mounting surface is clean and dry. Do not mount to surfaces such as wood, textured stone, or concrete as the bar will become easily unmounted from the surface. If your bathroom lacks any smooth surfaces ideal for mounting, we recommend mounting the bar to a handheld tile. This ensures easy stropping while guaranteeing the bar remains flat and safety away from your skin.
Important: Never attempt to use the STROPPi directly in your hand. The bar can become slippery when wet and may lead to slipping or injury when stropped.
What should I do if the STROPPi doesn't stick?
If you are having difficulty getting the STROPPi to adhere well to any surface in your shower, we recommend mounting the STROPPi to a small, handheld tile. If instead, the bar attempts to fall off the wall, we recommend washing the bar, drying it, and allowing it full air dry before remounting it. Be sure to wash and dry the mounting surface as well before remounting the bar. If the bar appears warped and won't mount flush to your chosen surface, flip the bar and mount it on the opposite side. Can I use any razor with the STROPPi?
While most razors can technically be used with it, the STROPPi is specifically designed for cartridge-style razors with three or more blades.
We do not recommend using single-blade or double-blade safety razors. Multi-blade cartridges not only offer better safety during shaving but also apply more even pressure to both the bar and your blades as you strop, ensuring a smoother strop and a more consistent lubrication.
Can I use the STROPPi while shaving in the bath or seated?
Yes, the STROPPi is ideal for shaving in the bath or while seated.
Simply mount it lower in your shower for easy access and minimal effort between passes. Because it lubricates your razor—rather than your skin—you can comfortably make multiple passes without reapplying cream. Simply strop the bar, reshave any missed area, and use your hand to feel for any missed hairs.
In addition to easy restrokes, the STROPPi's clear lubricant allows you to see exactly where you're shaving—no more guessing what's beneath a layer of foam. And unlike traditional creams that rinse away on contact with water, the STROPPi’s water-loving formula stays effective even when fully submerged, allowing for a smooth, consistent shave in the most comfortable shower conditions.
I have sensitive skin. Can I use the STROPPi?
Yes! The STROPPi is crafted specifically for sensitive skin. It uses gentle, skin-safe ingredients free from any harsh chemicals or fragrances, allowing for a softer alternative to traditional shaving. By lubricating the blades, the STROPPi also reduces the felt sharpness of the blade's edge on your skin while not reducing the razor's shaving effectiveness, protecting your skin's epidermic layer and reducing post-shave irritation significantly.
Can I use too much water when using the STROPPi?
Water is the key to a smooth shave. One of the main advantages of the STROPPi is the fact it can act as a protective shaving lubricant that will not wash away in water rich environments. This unlocks a shave in which you can enjoy softer skin and hair together with a smoother, safer glide. All the benefits of a dry shave in the more ideal environment of a wet shave.
That said, you can overdo it. Excessive soaking or prolonged direct spray can water-log the bar, causing it to delaminate from its mounting surface. Over time, water-logging can also soften the surface too much, leading to increased wear during stropping. You can not have too much water on your skin, but you can have too much on the STROPPi. As with all things—balance is key.
There’s hair or dirt on the STROPPi—how do I clean it?
Begin by removing the bar from its mounted surface. Next, rinse the bar thoroughly and then pat it dry before allowing it air dry completely. Once fully dry, clean the mounting surface before reapplying the bar. Do not attempt to re-stick the bar while it’s still wet—this will lead to improper mounting.
How long does the STROPPi last?
The STROPPi is built for durability and designed to stay with you through weeks of smooth, consistent shaves.
On average, it lasts for at least 30 shaves, though its lifespan may vary depending on several factors including water type, shaving frequency, stropping pressure, and how often the bar has been moved or remounted. Can I use the SOOTHi instead of a daily moisturizer?

To use it as a daily moisturizer, simply follow the same steps as you would after shaving: wet both the bar and your skin before application to activate the moisturizing layer and ensure smooth glide. Is the SOOTHi safe for sensitive or acne-prone skin?

How long does my Shaving Kit last?
This will depend greatly on your frequency of shaving. The Sansnik Shaving Kit for both men and women is designed to last for a minimum of 30 shaves. While most users find a typical replacement rate of around two months works best, we recommend replacing the kit at the three-month mark regardless of visible wear or shaving frequency, as the product naturally begins to lose effectiveness over time.
Even if the kit still appears functional after three months, its materials will start to age in ways that can affect performance. You may notice changes in texture, especially with the STROPPi. By three months, the bar can begin to change texture or warp or peel away from its mounting position. These issue will reduce effectiveness and undermine mounting strength significantly. Your personal replacement cycle may vary depending on shaving habits and coverage areas, but to ensure optimal results, we suggest planning for a maximum lifespan of three months. Does a razor come with the Shaving Kit?

Can I travel with this kit? If so, how?
Yes, the Sansnik Shaving Kit is travel-friendly and can easily be packed and remounted wherever you go.
Both the STROPPi and SOOTHi can be removed from their mounted positions and reattached when you arrive at your destination. For best results, allow the bars to fully dry before packing and store them in a protective case or wrap to avoid damage in transit. When traveling, we store the bars between small cards (such a credit cards or hotel key cards) wrapped with a rubber band to prevent surface damage or contamination. Once at your destination, mount STROPPi onto a smooth, non-porous surface such as polished tile, glass, or composite for the same secure hold and performance. Frequent repositioning won’t harm the bars, but if you travel often, using a small portable mounting card can make setup quicker and more reliable.

Can I track my order?
Yes, you can track your order, but tracking is not automatically included with standard shipments. If you’d like to monitor your package in real time, we offer an optional tracking service available for an additional fee at checkout.
We’ve designed our default shipping options to keep costs as low as possible, which means tracking isn’t automatically included with every order. However, we understand the peace of mind that comes with knowing exactly where your package is and when it will arrive. That’s why we offer an optional tracking upgrade at checkout. Once selected, you’ll receive a tracking number as soon as your order ships, allowing you to follow its journey from our warehouse to your door. If you’ve already placed an order unfortunately, you can not add tracking after the fact. So if tracking is necessary for you, please make sure to choose it as an add on at checkout.
Where do you ship to?
We currently ship to all 50 states within the United States. At this time, international shipping isn’t available, but we’re actively working to expand our reach sometime in the next few months.

Do you ship internationally?
Not yet. At this time, we only ship within the United States. However, expanding to international shipping is a top priority, and we’re working to make Sansnik products available worldwide.

We’re actively exploring international shipping options and working through the logistics to ensure we can deliver the same level of quality, speed, and support to customers worldwide. How much is shipping?
Shipping is free for all Sansnik subscriptions. Non subscription shipping is $3 per item. Shipment tracking can be added for $2 to any order at checkout.
