• Awaken the Bar: The bar will not be sticky when it arrives and must first be washed with water for a few seconds and then allowed to fully air dry to become sticky enough to mount on your chosen surface..

• Choose a Razor: Use a multi-blade razor (3+ blades, like Gillette Mach3 Sensitive). Sansnik’s testing found these distribute pressure evenly for optimal lubrication, unlike single-blade safety razors.

Your First Shave

Follow these steps to experience the Blade Bar’s magic:

• Strop the Razor: Next, glide your razor across the Blade Bar’s exposed surface several times using light pressure. Continue this until the blades appear coated with a clear gel (Depending on the hardness or softness of your water, the bar may work up a visible lather as you strop). Always strop on a mounted bar for even lubrication across the length of the razor’s blades and for added safety—hand-held use risks uneven coating and cuts.
